Matthew has been working in consulting and alternative investments for 14 years and has worked on fundraising projects that successfully raised in excess of £5bn.

Immediately prior to joining Templewood, Matthew led a team of consultants advising alternative investment managers on communications and on raising capital from institutional investors and the private wealth industry. He worked with clients on five continents, including buyout houses, VCs, real estate investors, hedge funds, various funds of funds, as well as government and industry bodies.

Matthew has spoken at conferences in Europe and Asia on the topics of investor relations and communications in alternative assets and has been published frequently in the trade press. He runs a large online community (15,000+ members) of investors in and managers of private funds.

Matthew has a degree in Modern Languages (German with Linguistics) from the University of Oxford and is married, with three children.
